Middle and High School Team
Established in 2009, Fox Pointe Farm's Middle and High School IEA Teams
train twice weekly (September-April) and compete in IEA shows from October
through March. The riders train on their own horse or a variety of quality show horses and
ponies owned by Fox Pointe Farm. Members of both our Middle and High School teams
had a very successful first two years and qualified for the Regional finals both seasons.
Both teams look forward to a successful 2011-2012 season.
The IEA competitions offer riders an avenue for competition following the IHSA rules,
and judging Equitation. At the shows, riders do not bring their own horses. Instead, they are required
to compete on horses supplied by the host shows IEA team. These shows
offer a friendly, supportive and good sportsmanship atmosphere. Riders
must compete in a minimum of three competitions during a season to be
eligible for the regional finals and nationals.
The Interscholastic Equestrian Association
The IEA is organized to promote and improve the quality of equestrian
competition and instruction available to middle and secondary school students.
